Yes, all our products are safe for ages 3 months and up. Our kid's magnesium oil is gentler on their skin, it's also ideal for adults with sensitive skin.
Yes, our all-natural products are safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Magnesium is essential for supporting a healthy baby and its need increases during pregnancy. It will help with relaxation and soothing aches. As every pregnancy and postpartum journey is unique, we recommend consulting your GP before starting any new supplements.
You can apply magnesium oil as needed, both morning and night, as your body will self-regulate absorption. At night, it aids relaxation and sleep by calming muscles and nerves, while during the day, it supports energy through biochemical reactions that contribute to energy production.
Everyone is different with the time frame to see results, it can be as quick as overnight however, it can also take a month or so. Remember that we do not become deficient overnight and do not replenish overnight. Magnesium is a mineral we burn through daily, so consistency is key. We recommend applying the oil every night before bed as a non-negotiable.
Magnesium oil can be applied straight to the skin for optimal absorption, rather than relying on the (often malfunctioning) digestive tract like powders and pills. By bypassing the digestive system, it goes straight into the bloodstream and is delivered directly to the cells that need it most.
This can be a clear sign of magnesium deficiency, don’t let this deter you, the high concentration of Salt Lab will have this cured in no time. Start by applying to your feet only for 3-4 weeks. You can also dilute with water (60:40) or add some coconut oil after application to make this tingle a little less uncomfortable without missing out on the benefits.

As a former personal trainer, nutritionist and health coach, it was only after severe burnout in 2014 and my own search to find answers that I discovered the immense benefits of Magnesium Oil. This magic mineral proved to be the only solution to my body recovering. And so the journey began. It is now our mission to help people sleep better, recover faster and be their best (even on their busiest days) with our highly effective, natural magnesium products lovingly created out of my desire to help others experience the wellness transformation that I did.
However, I’m always looking at the bigger picture and our mission here at Salt Lab goes beyond our people. I want to make an impact on our planet by supporting the regeneration of nature’s most precious resource - the soil. Every month, we donate a percentage of our profits to help farmers use regenerative methods to grow mineral rich plants and improve soil quality, so the food we harvest is nutrient dense in vitamins and minerals - like magnesium. This method of regenerative agriculture improves the resources it uses, rather than destroying or depleting them.
